Summer is an exciting time for cultural programming. Gallery openings, summer camps, outdoor concerts, trips to the zoo, Shakespeare in the park, and more light up our calendars. What better way to celebrate this summer fun than show it off to your state lawmakers? In the process, you’ll build or strengthen your relationships with the elected officials who represent your community.
This summer, we’re launching Lawmaker Summer Show and Tell, a program that will teach you how to host your own lawmaker event at your cultural organization, how to effectively build relationships with your elected officials, and the issues facing the cultural sector in the next legislative cycle.

At the webinar, we’ll walk through the ins and outs of hosting your lawmaker this summer, discuss talking points, and review all the materials we’ve provided below. If you can’t make it, don’t worry! We’ll post the recording on this page. Seasoned advocates are welcome to use the materials below on their own time without attending the webinar.
